The Gospel of Mark.
Its shocking subtleties.

“The Shawshank Redemption.”
It portrays a hope that is as real and resolute as suffering is.

Fred Craddock, Hulitt Gloer (professor of preaching and Christian Scriptures at Baylor University’s Truett Seminary) and Gina Clegg (my mom).
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
I began preaching when I was 16 years old and pastoring when I was 18.
