1. Where did you grow up?
Levelland, Texas (halfway between Brownfield and Littlefield).
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
Psalm 102:18.
It reminds us that our work today can have implications for generations to come.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“Nacho Libre.”
Because for my kids, it gives me funny references I can enjoy, for others it teaches me not to judge them because they believe in science, and for my wife, well, “hug hug, kiss kiss, hug hug, big kiss, little hug, kiss kiss, little kiss.”
4. Who are three people you admire?
Jesus Rincones and Mildred Escobar (my parents), Eugenio Valenzuela (my pastor for 12 years who then became my father-in-law), and Albert Reyes (president of Buckner International).
5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?
I can play a mean game of Galaga.
