Don’s articles that have appeared on EthicsDaily.com are available here, and his Skype interview is available here.
1. Where did you grow up?
Borger, an oil-refining town in the Texas Panhandle, north of Amarillo.
2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?
2 Timothy 1:7.
Since the self-doubt days of high school where I had no idea of what my future would hold, this verse has always rung true for me.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“Field of Dreams.”
Not so much because of the storyline, but because I love baseball, farming, wonderment and venturing into the unknown.
4. Who are three of the people you admire?
Joseph from the Old Testament, Walter Rauschenbusch and Gene Sewell (my father).
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
Trying to follow God’s direction, I quit law school after one day and went to seminary – although I hope to read law some day when I retire from Baylor Scott and White.
