- What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
John 21:1-17.
It is the perfect picture of redemption, reconciliation and restoration in the interaction between Jesus and Peter, who, having denied Jesus three times, was restored to his calling three times.
- What is your favorite movie? Why?
I love movies with unexpected “Christ” figures and stories of redemption and reconciliation, such as “Chocolat” (Vianne Rocher, the chocolatier) and “The Green Mile” (John Coffey).
- Who are three people you admire?
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Martin Luther King Jr. and David G. Moore, my longtime mentor and encourager and a retired North Carolina pastor.
- What is one little-known fact about yourself?
My middle name is Quinton, named for my grandfather, Quay, and a great-uncle (my mother’s favorite uncle), Clinton.
